I recently found out that I got accepted into my dream school, the University of Georgia. I am super grateful for that, as getting into UGA has become very competitive lately. I applied for early admission in October but did not get in for early admission. I am actually very grateful that I did not get accepted for early admission because I likely would have decided to go to UGA right then. Instead, however, I had a lot more time to pray and discern what God’s will was rather than mine. During this time, God placed the World Race on my heart. After I continued to pray and speak to spiritual mentors about it, I was confident that the World Race was what God wanted me to do. I likely would have never decided on the World Race if I had gotten accepted into UGA early.

Now that I am reflecting back on the entire process, I am so happy. I came to experience the sovereign will of God during this process. God had a plan for me, and it worked out perfectly. Now that I got accepted into UGA, I was also accepted for UGA’s gap year program, which guarantees me admission for applying to UGA in the fall of 2024. This means I can still go to UGA after the World Race if that is where the Lord is leading me, and I will continue to get all of my scholarships. I am still amazed at how everything worked out perfectly and realize how big a blessing it has been.
